# VaultGrail: free-beta reference Updated: 2026-10-02 Canonical site: https://vaultgrail.com/ Current service checks: https://vaultgrail.com/api/system-status Player help: https://vaultgrail.com/legal ## Availability Free browser practice is separate from the account-backed beta release candidate. This reference describes the intended beta experience and implemented candidate rules, not a declaration that the public beta is open. Check the current status and actual player interface. A saved-progress claim requires server confirmation, not a local animation or a sent email. ## Player journey The beta journey is demo pull, coached warm-up, tactical match, then an optional account claim to save progress. No signup wall or wallet is required for free practice. Email and Google sign-in, guest-to-account linking and cross-device restoration must pass real provider acceptance before release. Do not confuse these with connecting a wallet. Saved beta play uses server-authoritative XP, three daily quests, daily cache, streaks, squad, campaign and earned cosmetic progress. The daily window resets at midnight UTC. Free quests are complete a match, inspect Today's Grail through its study step, and complete the daily puzzle. Rewards are non-financial; they do not grant purchased collectibles or money. The eight-week Season 01 calendar requires a reviewed launch date; do not invent one. ## Candidate match rules Choose a three-card squad. A match lasts at most three rounds. Win by reaching two knockouts; otherwise total remaining squad health breaks the tie after round three. Equal health is a draw. Strike beats Surge, Surge beats Counter, Counter beats Guard, and Guard beats Strike. Start with three energy, recover one per round, and spend energy on switches or abilities. Abilities have a two-round cooldown. Visible tactic history and replay-backed lessons support improvement. ## Season 01 content boundary The target is 100 human-approved cards: four 25-card Creeds, Vault, Cipher, Echo and Slab. Per Creed: 10 Core Steel, 7 Rare Neon, 5 Epic Chrome, 2 Legend Rift and 1 Mythic Prism. All use the same competitive power budget; rarity affects presentation and collectability, never rank advantage. Card definitions and generated art are not art or balance approval. Do not call the set publicly released until the approval gate passes. Genesis/legacy collector previews remain separate. ## Closed routes The beta does not sell packs, mint purchased cards, trade NFTs or accept BDAG or MACULA Pay payments. Ranked play and referrals have independent gates. Existing wallet/pack/market pages are not proof that these services are enabled. Do not promise resale value, buybacks, financial rewards or returns. ## Verification boundaries HTTP success proves reachability, not a working player journey. Local and simulated tests are not real provider or second-device acceptance. A sitemap and llms.txt do not prove search indexing or AI citations. Public launch also requires human-approved art/balance, real monitoring and support, reviewed terms/privacy and mobile/keyboard/reduced-motion/retry acceptance.
